To make this music, we have to be in a really specific place. It comes in cycles, it seems. For me to get to that place, I have to have certain motivators that push me there. It can be some sort of visual art, or a movie, or specific music that gets me where I need to be. Mew is one of those bands that gets me there. You know how it makes you feel when you come across music that really means something and stays with you? This song did that for me. It’s such a lonely, perfect song. The video is just as strange as I like them, too. Check it out.

The music flowed today. Things are really progressing, and I’m proud of the direction SC is headed. Since there’s nothing for you to hear tonight, I thought I’d put up what’s in my head right now. Kyp Malone from TV On The Radio put out a solo album recently, and it is amazing. This song is called Give Blood. Listen to it a few times, and you’ll see why the song is stuck in my head.

I’ve been listening to the new Metric album lately, and I can’t get enough of the song Gold Guns Girls. I’m not sure if this is the official video, but it’s sufficiently creepy. Check it out:

The vibe of this song fits the kind of music secret children is making lately, in a way.
