The music flowed today. Things are really progressing, and I’m proud of the direction SC is headed. Since there’s nothing for you to hear tonight, I thought I’d put up what’s in my head right now. Kyp Malone from TV On The Radio put out a solo album recently, and it is amazing. This song is called Give Blood. Listen to it a few times, and you’ll see why the song is stuck in my head.

54 Secret Children in 2010

We’re hoping your new year is off to a good start. It’s been 8 months or so since our last update, so we thought we’d take a minute to let you know what’s been going on with the band and where we’re headed from here.

2009 was a crazy year for us, filled with lots of life changes. Between losing jobs, finding jobs, making cross country moves, and preparing for children, we had our hands pretty full. It was a busy year, but a good one. Sometimes being able to focus on the less creative part of your life enriches the more creative part.

Things have settled down quite a bit, and we’re starting to create music again. We’re excited to share new and interesting music with you in the coming months, and we’re looking at different ways to interact and share it with you. Expect more regular updates from us – we want to keep you in the loop on the creative process and show you what’s inspiring us right now. Maybe it will inspire you too.

We want to thank you for making it this far with us. We’ve been through a lot together, and we’re looking forward to repaying you for the long wait with some new music we hope you’ll like.
